I loved my last classroom. It was extremely colorful, big and let lots of light in. We even had our own grassy area right outside the back door where we managed to do some planting. The lava lavas add so much to the walls I think. Anyway, this year I plan on making my Kindergarten classroom a whole lot more organized and less cluttered. I've been pinning classroom ideas from Pinterest all summer and have even managed to put some of them to good use. I don't have nearly as much gear as I left all my teaching stuff in New Zealand but I reckon that's a good thing. When I have the time I've been slowly collecting stuff from the 99 cent store, Savers and Goodwill. Walmart also proved very handy! In a couple of days I'll post some pics of my new classroom thus far. Decorating the classroom is one of my favorite parts of teaching. I've got lots to learn this year as I'm one of the 'new kids on the block' but I can't wait to meet my TWO classes of five year olds. Oh my, I'm going to have to be Super Teacher!
